Action & Action
There is more to life than just waking up, working, sleeping, and eventually dying. There’s MUCH more. Many of my posts talk of using positive thinking to elevate your vibration to a frequency that promotes well-being – still good advice, but there is one small word that makes it all happen. ACTION. You see, thinking isn’t enough. Intending isn’t enough. You can’t just sit back, dream of being a millionaire, and then believe it’s coming to you with no effort! On the same coin, I’m not telling you to break yourself on the daily grind, just waiting for the riches to come! Take the idea, the positivity, the creativity, the intention – and put it into action!
“Affirmation without discipline is the beginning of delusion – Affirmation with discipline creates miracles.” – Anthony Robbins
See, this is where I think a lot of the message of positivity and the Law of Attraction gets lost in translation. People see The Secret and feel inspired – guided by a better voice in their head, to a better way of life. They think differently, and get great ideas, inspirations, and feelings, but do not fully complete that third step of receiving. The never ACT, and consequently do not get what they think about. Feeling discouraged, they go about speaking against The Secret and the LOA, and ACT negatively.
THEN WHAT HAPPENS?
Their negative attitude, coupled with their NEGATIVE ACTIONS, delivers negative results. They get exactly what they wanted – crappy things happen to prove that LOA doesn’t work for them. The worst truth in their shoes, is that it not only worked, it worked perfectly. It’s time to step up and put yourself into action! It’s not about just feeling happy, and going on with your life – it’s about applying that happiness TO your life, IN your life.
It’s time to ‘stretch’ ourselves and achieve impossible things. Stretching is more than just waking up and touching your toes, limbering up physically, and calling it a day. I’m talking s-t-r-e-t-c-h in a metaphysical sense. Stretching is the act of doing something that you know is good for you and/or others, and it scares you. Let me explain this a little further. Imagine yourself standing in the middle of a circle, or in the center of a bubble. Everything around you is in your Comfort Zone. The edge of this circle, or the skin of this bubble, is the very end of your comfort zone. When things come along and they don’t seem that scary, you expand to let them in, don’t you? Buying that car was a big step in your life, but you expanded to include it. When big things come along like opportunities, people, love(s), chances-of-a-lifetime, commitments, what do you do? This is a question that produces very subjective results, however, those that answer, “I take a deep breath and expand” live the life they always wanted. If you choose not to expand, and instead avoid, your comfort zone remains in tact, but does not grow.
Think of it this way. Imagine you’re a king or queen. Your comfort zone is your kingdom. Everything within it is yours, and that gives you great power. The people of your kingdom are supportive and trustworthy, happy and kind. When new challenges come upon your kingdom you must decide whether to ACT or not. Do you expand your kingdom and take on the challenge, or do you avoid the challenge and keep your little kingdom…little? You expand! It’s scary because we all live in a society that parades success AND failures for all to see. Look at the tabloids! The same page has articles about all the starlets rising up, and others crashing down. It’s time to change that belief as well.
“If you think you can’t, you MUST. If you MUST, then clearly you can.” – Anthony Robbins on stretching.
There is a truth that high achieving and successful people know, but your average person simply chooses not to believe: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS FAILURE. Read that again. “But I’ve had failed relationships, failed business deals, I failed college algebra; how can you say that?” you ask. Simple. Every single ting you ever got involved with in your life gave you a result. It gave you an outcome. While it may not have been a success, it was still an outcome you learned from. Whenever a relationship goes sour, what does everyone always tell you? “Chalk this one up to a learning experience, Steve.” People inherently enjoy learning new things, and gaining experience in life. This truth simply makes everything a learning experience. Live this truth. Imagine.
Imagine living without ever failing anything again. Imagine expanding your comfort zone to incredible places. Your comfort zone is really your zone of power, so imagine it constantly expanding and learning. Imagine the confidence you ‘ll have with each new experience. Imagine the adventure your life would be. Imagine the stories you could tell. Imagine if all you had to do was s-t-r-e-t-c-h yourself, and ACT. Imagine applying your happiness.
Life is full of beauty, mystery, and love. It can also be filled with ugliness, greed, uncertainty, and fear. All you have to do to life the good life is live by five words:
Dream it and do it.
